Booking of the sightseeing tour
Booking of the sightseeing tour for groups is provided by the booking office of the underground on phone/fax no.: +420 515 221 342 or by electronic mail on the e-mail address: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. The booking must be collected at last 15 minutes before the beginning of the tour, after that it will expire without any compensation.
Organization of sightseeing tours
After payment of the entrance fee a visitor obtains a ticket (the leader of a group a collective ticket) that will be shown at the entrance to the sightseeing tour. Visitors are obliged to keep their ticket for the whole time of the sightseeing, and to present it again on eventual request. The ticket is valid for just one visit.
Purchased tickets cannot be returned!!!
The price list of entrance fees is displayed by the box office. For any discount request it is necessary to present corresponding documents. Only one type of discount can be applied.
Number of persons for the sightseeing tour
It is necessary to announce the total number of persons at the box office, including children under 6 years of age, who are not subject to fee payment.
The sightseeing tour will only take place with accompaniment of a guide in groups of minimally 2 visitors – adult persons. Maximum number of persons is 50 persons by the classic route; recommended amount is 30 persons with respect to the commentary.
The number of persons in individual groups is determined by the cashier eventually by the guides with respect to actual operational possibilities of the object and safety.
Commentary
The commentary is given by guides in Czech.
Foreign language commentary is arranged by audio guides in German, English, Polish, Russian and Italian languages or possibly in a printed form. The person interested in a foreign language commentary will say so at the booking office, the audio guide will be given to him/her by the cashier or a guide 5 minutes before the beginning of the sightseeing. If the visitor does not request an audio guide right before the beginning of the sightseeing tour, it cannot be given to him/her later in course of the tour. After finishing the tour, the visitor is obliged to return the audio guide or text with the commentary to the guide.
In case of an integrated group with a request for a foreign language commentary, the commentary is realized by an audio guide with a loudspeaker with which the guide is equipped.
If a visitor speaking Czech joins an integrated group with a foreign language commentary he/she will obtain an audio guide with the commentary in Czech language.
Simultaneous interpreting out loud is not allowed to individual visitors or their accompaniment. Interpreting of the guide's commentary from the Czech language for groups is allowed only upon previous agreement.
A foreign language commentary in German, English, Russian, Polish and Italian language may be arranged by its downloading into a “smart” phone. You can get more detailed information on the application at the box office.
Protective clothing
No special protective clothing is needed for the classic route, but solid footwear is a must! It is also necessary to take into account that the temperature in the underground is around 12 to 13 °C throughout all the year.
An important warning:
With respect to the character of the environment where the sightseeing tours take place it is necessary to get ready for possible staining or damage to clothing. The operator is not liable for staining or possible damage to the visitors' clothes!!!
Organizational and safety instructions
Due to limited visibility, places with a low ceiling, narrow passages, many stairs and uneven surfaces, entry is not recommended to persons with serious impairment of movement and vision for operational reasons. Entry is only possible with an individual responsible supervisor to ensure the fluent operation of the underground after an agreement with the box office personnel. We warn that sightseeing in the underground is not appropriate for persons suffering from claustrophobia. We warn that any intervention of rescue squads would be complicated on grounds of the construction layout.
Children under the age 15 years are allowed access only in the company of persons older than 18 years. With respect to the length and a character of the sightseeing tour, entry is not appropriate for children below 5 years of age.
Access into the object is forbidden to persons reasonably suspicious of having used alcoholic drinks and toxic or psychotropic substances.
Access is not allowed to dogs and to other domestic animals.
We warn the visitors of the underground of low visibility, places with a low ceiling, uneven surface, stairs, narrow passages and a substantial temperature differences between the outer and inner underground spaces that is approximately 12-13°C.
Visitors are obliged to follow the instructions of a guide and of the employees of the object. In case of refusal to obey instructions or an order issued for the sake or safety of the visitors, security and fluent operation, a visitor may be expelled from the object without any compensation of the entrance fee. Besides that the visitor may be subject to punishment according to generally binding regulations.
It is forbidden:
To leave the determined route and walk away from the guide and the group in the course of the commentary,
To disturb the commentary of the guide with noise or to hinder the sightseeing for the visitors in another way (music, singing, laud whisper, shouting, weeping, interpreting without permission, using audio players, mobile phones and other loud manifestations and similar activities),
To eat and drink,
To smoke in the entire space of the object including electronic cigarettes,
Manipulate open fire throughout the premises,
To manipulate in any way with safety, ventilation, light, monitoring, control and information equipment in all spaces of the underground,
To pollute any of the spaces of the underground routes,
To damage in any way the object or cause any danger to it, especially to touch the walls and exhibited objects, to write or draw on the walls or to damage the object in any other way.
In case of an electric current outage on the classical sightseeing route, the guide will lead visitors out from the underground through the shortest possible way. The way out from the underground in cases of emergency is marked by emergency lights and by the lamp of a guide.
Liability of the operator for eventual damages caused to the visitors is governed by generally binding regulations.
Wishes, appraisals, comments and complaints of the visitors may be presented in writing to the box office. Besides that the visitor may contact to the operator of the institution orally, in writing or by phone.
Any change is reserved based on technical, operational and safety reasons!!!
These Visitor's rules are in effect as of September 1st 2019 and remains in force until its cancellation.
Adrenalin trails
Route 1 blue
difficulty: low, duration of the route approx. 1 hour 15 minutes, access allowed in maximum amount of 10 visitors + 1 guide in one group. Access is not allowed to children under 12 years of age, with respect to the difficulty of the route children from 12 to 15 years of age are only allowed entry in the accompaniment of a parent or a legal guardian, access for minors from 15 to 18 years of age only in the accompaniment of an adult person.
Route 2 red
difficulty: medium difficulty, duration approx. 1 hour 30 minutes, access allowed in maximum amount of 8 visitors + 1 guide in one group. Access is not allowed to children under 15 years of age, access to minors from 15 to 18 years of age only in the accompaniment of an adult person.
Route 3 black
difficulty: high difficulty, duration of the route approx. 2 hours 30 minutes, access allowed in maximum amount of 5 visitors + 1 guide in one group. Access is not allowed for children under 15 years of age (access to minors from 15 to 18 years of age only in the accompaniment of an adult person).
THE MINIMUM NUMBER OF VISITORS PER EACH VISIT IS 3 PERSONS.
Booking of the tours
Booking of the adrenalin routes may be arranged on the web pages of the underground, www.tajemne-podzemi.cz or directly on the booking portal www.podzemiznojmo.cz at latest 2 hours before the beginning of the visit.
Booking of the adrenalin routes may be arranged also by telephone to the guide' phone no. +420 608 204 535, or from 8 – 9 AM at the box office of the underground - phone no: +420 515 221 342. The booking must be collected no later than 15 minutes before the beginning of the tour, after the booking will expire without a right to any compensation.
Organization of the tours
Persons interested in sightseeing on adrenalin trails will pass through the testing frame for the spatial readiness of the visitor situated on the courtyard by the entrance to the route under the supervision of a guide. Only based upon the result of such testing the interested person may buy its ticket. Should the test not be successful the person will not be allowed to enter.
After payment of the entrance fee a visitor obtains a ticket that he/she will show to the guide.
Visitors are obliged to keep their ticket for the whole time of the sightseeing, and to present it again on eventual request. The ticket is valid for just one visit. Purchased tickets cannot be returned!!!

Commentary
The commentary is given by guides in Czech. Foreign language commentary is possible only in English, this only for groups of English-speakers that placed an order in advance. For mixed groups, the commentary is provided in Czech, other foreign visitors will obtain a text in English.
Protective clothing
Each visitor, upon buying a ticket, will be loaned the following:
1x protective helmet
1x pair of high rubber boots
1x overcoat
Warning

THE PERSON INTERESTED IN A VISIT SHOULD CONSIDER THESE RISKS WITH RELATION TO HIS/HER ACTUAL PHYSICAL AND MENTAL STATUS
The guide of the group is obliged to cursorily check each visitor, whether he/she is able to pass all of the prepaid route. In case of a suspicion, the guide may exclude the visitor from the group before accessing the underground.
We warn that the underground spaces on any of the routes are not equipped with sanitary facilities.
It is not recommended to take valuable objects for sightseeing of the route – e.g. mobile phones, watches and jewellery - since the risk of their loss or damage is relevant to the difficulty of the routs. Visitors may keep these objects safe in lockable cabins in the cloakroom.
It is forbidden:
To walk away from the group spontaneously or walk to a different place than designated by the guide
To smoke in all spaces of the object, that applies also to an electronic cigarette, and to manipulate with an open fire in all premises of the object,
To take part in the sightseeing for persons reasonably suspect of having used alcoholic drinks and toxic or psychotropic substances, as well as dogs and other domestic animals,
To manipulate in any way with safety, ventilation, light, monitoring, control and information equipment in all spaces of the underground,
To contaminate in any way the spaces of the underground passages.
Visitors are obliged to follow the instructions of a guide and of the employees of the object. By not following the instruction or an order given for the sake of safety of visitors, protection of the object and securing the continuity of visitors´ operation; a visitor could be subject to punishment according to generally binding regulations.
A guide is obliged to inform the visitors of a respective route about emergency exits including ladders and emergency telephones.
The operator's liability for eventual damages caused to visitors will be governed by generally binding regulations.
Visitors can submit their wishes, praises and comments in writing at the box office. Aside from that, visitors can also contact the operator verbally, in writing or by phone.
